Napping

We’ve been following the action at My Dream App, and during the voting for round one, found we were offered a free copy of Pzizz. This is software that lets you generate audio that you listen to while taking a nap. Specifically, it has a program for an “Energizer Nap” that lasts about 20 minutes, and leaves you feeling very refreshed and ready to get back to work.

There’s a great deal of information about how it works on their site, but briefly, it uses a combination of spoken instructions, sounds tuned to your brain wave patterns, and background noise to get you relaxed deeply and quickly. When you awaken, you feel rejuvenated, and you never sleep too long!

I highly recommend it. According to NASA, “an afternoon nap increases productivity by 35% and decision making ability by up to 50%.” This claim is not unusual, it’s long been known that afternoon naps are surprisingly good for you, particularly at work. Give it a try!
